iQOO has officially unveiled the iQOO Z10R in India today (July 24), positioning it as a powerful mid-range smartphone under the ₹20,000 price bracket. It enters the market as a slightly more affordable sibling to the iQOO Z10 while introducing a number of distinct upgrades and trade-offs that set it apart.

Powerful Performance with Next-Gen Chipset

The Z10R is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7400 SoC, a next-generation 5G chipset designed for efficient multitasking and enhanced power optimization. It offers a subtle performance leap over the Dimensity 7300 and is well-optimized for gaming, daily use, and camera processing. In comparison, the iQOO Z10 runs on the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3, another capable chip, though the 7400 edges ahead in power efficiency benchmarks.

iQOO pairs this chipset with up to 12GB of RAM, with support for 12GB of virtual RAM, enabling users to keep as many as 44 apps active in the background. This level of memory expansion is uncommon in the sub-₹20,000 segment, making the Z10R a multitasking beast.

Sleek Design with Curved AMOLED

A standout design feature of the Z10R is its 6.78-inch 120Hz AMOLED display, boasting curved edges on both front and back. At just 0.7 cm thickness, it delivers a premium, ergonomic feel that resembles flagship aesthetics. The device is available in Aquamarine and Moonstone finishes, giving users stylish options to choose from.

Durability Beyond the Segment

What truly separates the Z10R from its competitors is its IP68 and IP69 rating, a rare feature even among more expensive phones. This ensures strong resistance against dust, water jets, and submersion, offering users greater peace of mind for everyday use. By contrast, the iQOO Z10 is MIL-STD-810H certified and splash-resistant but lacks the same level of waterproofing.

Decent Battery with Fast Charging

While the Z10R houses a 5700mAh battery, slightly smaller than the 7300mAh cell in the Z10, it still promises full-day endurance, especially with the Dimensity 7400’s power-efficient architecture. Fast charging support remains competitive, although the exact wattage has not been detailed at launch.

Camera with Sony Sensor Advantage

The iQOO Z10R features a 50MP Sony IMX882 primary camera, which is a step forward in sensor quality compared to the standard shooter in the Z10. It supports 4K video recording, as does the 32MP front camera, making it a solid pick for both photography and vlogging.

iQOO Z10R Price in India

The iQOO Z10R is priced under ₹20,000, aiming to disrupt the mid-range smartphone segment with features typically reserved for higher-end models. Exact variant pricing will be revealed during the first sale, which is expected to start later this week via Amazon and iQOO’s official channels.
