The Maharashtra School Education and Sports Department has confirmed that the First Year Junior College (FYJC) Class 11 admission process will soon reach a key milestone, with the release of the CAP round 1 allotment and merit list on June 30, 2025. Candidates eagerly waiting for their seat allocation can check the FYJC 1st merit list on the official admission portal at Mahafyjcadmissions from 5 PM onwards.

Initially expected earlier, the allotment list announcement was delayed and has now been rescheduled for June 30. Alongside the merit list, the department will also publish the cut-off marks required for admission to various colleges participating in the Centralized Admission Process (CAP).

FYJC Admissions 2025: Scope and Participation


This year, a record 9,435 junior colleges and higher secondary schools are part of the CAP round 1, collectively offering 21,23,040 seats. Of these, 18,97,526 seats are part of the centralized process, while 2,25,514 are reserved for quotas such as minority, in-house, management, and others.

Registration and Schedule Updates


The registration for Maharashtra FYJC admission 2025 started on May 21. However, technical issues forced the department to revise the schedule. The registration resumed successfully at 11 AM on a Monday after the website was restored.

Mandatory Documents for FYJC Admission 2025


Students shortlisted in the merit list must carry essential documents at the time of admission, including their Aadhaar Card, Class 10 mark sheet, school leaving certificate, and any applicable certificates like caste, EWS, disability, or ex-servicemen certificates. Overseas applicants must provide embassy-attested documents.

Previous Admission Rounds

 Earlier, the department had released a general merit list and completed the zero round admissions for quota-based seats such as minority, in-house, and management categories at respective colleges.
